What’s not to love about black glossy leggings? They work as gymwear (depending on the fabric), and they’re also perfect for date night or a night on the town!
I found the Koral Lustrous legging while searching for shiny/glossy/wet look leggings online. Other contenders for the best glossy leggings were the Carbon38 Takara Liquid Legging (See my review here) and the Spanx Faux Leather Legging.
I plan to test the Spanx Faux Leather number so I can make a solid comparison review of all three leggings.
So if you’re in the market for the perfect pair of shiny black leggings, here’s my review of the Koral Lustrous High Rise Legging to decide if this is right for you!

Koral High Rise Lustrous Legging Review
The Koral Lustrous Legging is a high rise legging designed for low to medium intensity activities.

Fabric & Fit
The fabric is thin and stretchy with a medium compression feel. These leggings are super flexible from waist to hem- no struggle involved!
While the super-thin fabric helps make these leggings lightweight, it also means that they’re not sculpting. But don’t you worry because these leggings will shine in all the right places and are sure to flatter any figure!
Support
The Koral Lustrous High Rise legging is designed with a double-faced waistband for added support.
However, the waistband is narrow, which means that you won’t get that hold-you-in feel of wider waistbands. Nonetheless, it’s comfortable and can stretch for days!
Coverage
Because these Koral leggings are thin, the leggings sheer when stretched out so they are not 100% squatproof.
You’ll also need seamless underwear for these leggings, and I don’t recommend going commando because of the lower coverage and no-gusset design.
Quality
Overall, the Koral Lustrous Legging is well made and will make a great addition to your workout wardrobe!
Koral Sizing Review
For reference, I’m a 27″ waist, 32″ bust (DD cup), 38″ hip, 5’8″ tall, and US clothing size 4. I bought the Koral Lustrous legging in size S according to the size chart.
Koral Lustrous Legging Sizing Tip:
“These Koral leggings fit true to size so I recommend going with the size chart. If you’re in between sizes, you can size down comfotably since the fabric is forgiving.”

The Lustrous legging fabric is amazing! The fabric is super flexible and has the most alluring shine. You can style these leggings effortlessly for a gym workout, a day out, or a night out.
What I’d Improve
One downside of the Koral Lustrous Legging:

Fit
For leggings billed as high-rise, I expected better midsection coverage and support. The Lustrous leggings barely make it past my belly button and slip down a bit while I move.
Should You Buy Koral Lustrous Legging?
Yes, if you don’t need as much support and plan to wear these leggings casually most of the time.
- Good for yoga, pilates, and lounging.
- Perfect for athleisure styling.
- Not for the active girl on a budget. See affordable activewear brands.
How To Care For Koral Your Activewear
To keep your Koral Lustrous in good shape, machine-wash them in cold water, inside out with like colors.
It’s always good to avoid excess heat from washing in hot water, tumble-drying, or ironing as this can affect the strength of the fibers and degrade the fabric features. Tumble-dry your leggings in low heat or use a drying rack.
Also, avoid using fabric softener since it can seal the fabric, causing the fabric to become less breathable.
Important: place your leggings in a mesh bag before throwing them in the washer. This will ensure that the thin fabric doesn’t get snagged by parts from other clothing.
