I’ve had less than ideal experiences working out in my Align leggings. I would leave the gym 10 minutes into my workout because I couldn’t deal with the map of sweat on my crotch AND booty. They were my first pair of Lululemon leggings. Lululemon had failed me.
After a few months, I decided to give the well-loved brand one more try. But I wasn’t going to make the same mistake, I needed high-performance leggings that could combat sweat. Cue in the Lululemon Time To Sweat tights.
I found the Time to Sweat tights while searching for the “best moisture-wicking Lululemon leggings”. The Time to Sweat tights promise the comfort of Lululemon leggings, but on steroids, so I was sold.
If you’re in the market for a new pair of Lulu’s for your high-intensity workouts, here’s my review of the Time To Sweat tight to help you decide!

Description: Lululemon Time To Sweat Tights
The Lululemon Time To Sweat tight is a full-length high-waisted legging designed for low to high impact activities.
Fabric: Sweat-blasting Luxtreme
The Time to Sweat tight is made from Lululemon’s signature Full-On® Luxtreme, the brand’s sweat-wicking fabric, created to “offer great support and coverage with a cool, smooth feel.”
Support- Compression For Days
Unlike the Lululemon Align Pant, which is stretchy with a barely-there feel, the Time To Sweat tight has medium-level compression (more compressive in the waist than the rest of the legging) and will hold you in from waist to hem!
The waistband is about three inches wide and supportive, but best of all, it’s designed with built-in pockets to hold your whole life together and a drawcord to keep your fully-stuffed leggings from sliding down.
Also, the leggings are constructed with a triangular-shaped gusset which greatly improves the fit.
You’ll be happy to know that the Lululemon Time To Sweat Tights covers all your pocket needs! There are two hidden pockets in the front waistbandthat meet in a way that the entire front side of the waistband is one long pocket!
Also, there is a zipper-free pocket in the back that can hold my iPhone securely. Lastly, there are two angled pockets on the sides of the leggings that are about 6″ deep from the top of the slant to the bottom. My iPhone fits in the side pockets, but not completely.
Coverage- Are The Lululemon
Time To Sweat Leggings Squatproof?
Yes! The Full-On® Luxtreme fabric is thick, opaque, and well-suited to keep your booty covered during any workout. Also, you’ll have better luck keeping your panty lines out of sight since the fabric is on the thick side.
If panty lines annoy you (I’m on this boat!), get some seamless underwear for your Lululemon Time To Sweat tight. You could also try going commando under your leggings since the Time To Sweat Tight is made with a gusset.
Lululemon Time To Sweat Tights Sizing Review
For reference, I’m a 26″ waist, 38″ hips, 32″ DD bust, 5’8 tall, US clothing size 4. (See the Lululemon size chart below).
I strongly recommend going with the size chart, so grab a tape measure and get your stats!
If you’re in between legging sizes, go with a size on the chart that’s within two inches of your true hip and waist measurements. For me, that’s a size 6/S based on the Lululemon size guide.
What I loved
Waistband: I love the compressiveness of the waistband, and the drawcord is a lifesaver! As someone who has a hard time finding leggings that fit my waist, hips, and thighs, this drawcord is EVERYTHING.
Fit & Style: The Time To Sweat tights are super flattering and hug your body in all the right places.
Also, you’ll be happy to know that these leggings don’t pill like the Aligns! The fabric is smooth to touch and less prone to pilling from abrasion.
What To Improve
Breathability: The Lululemon Time To Sweat Tight is not super breathable, and therefore, is not your go-to summer legging. However, what it lacks in breathability, it makes up for in quality, comfort, moisture management, and general cuteness!
Should You Buy The Lululemon Time To Sweat Leggings?
